My thoughts, a mess, chaotic, I've lost it.
Hidden behind this guilt, pain so unreal.
Empty inside, I'm breathing but I too feel like I died. Why?
Heart is shattered, broken, beaten and battered, pierced you with a dagger.
No swagger, loss confidence, it's all nonsense.
My regret so immense, intense.
Cannot rinse the dirtiness of one's unholy offense.
Apologies now worth about 2 cents.
Gone is the value.
So close, yet so distant, in an instant, threw away all that was gifted.
You missed it, once uplifted, now shifted.
Gone is the trust, absent is the lust.
Just love, but hate resides there as well.
Opportunities failed, heart in a caged cell, jail, no bail, top of my lungs to yell!
Unholiest deed of all, the last straw, flawed, fall, now crawl.
Blew it all.
Everything ever needed now gone, unstrong, nowhere to belong.
Same old song.
Alone I decompose inside, emptiness, all that resides.

Sometimes I sit and wonder,
What life would've been like without my mother.
How can I ever repay you for all the things you did?
You were my shelter, comfort, and love when I was just a kid.
It’s been a great privilege to be called your son.
When I look back and reminisce of all the things you’ve done.
No matter how tired you always answered my call,
Your love for me was endless and I thank you for it all.
My friend, my chauffeur, even my own personal chef,
I admired you even more when Dad got up and left.
The strength showed when facing misfortune, I’ll never comprehend.
Just thankful to know you always had a hand to lend.
You’re so gentle of a person, yet so very strong.
Always made me feel like I belong.
You were patient with me and answered any question I’d have to ask.
Nothing was too much, you were just great with every little task.
You were as dependable as the Sun rising in the morning.
Such love that was given, thanks for being so adoring.
My love for you I can only express so much.
Just you, can I say, had that sweet mother’s touch.
Whether it was a hug, a kiss, or some homemade tortillas, no one did it like you.
Never one to look down, hate or criticize thanks Mom for being just you.
For everything I am today.
Your love was there to support me every step of the way.
Your enduring patience and inner strength have taught me to become so tough.
With an open heart, and open arms, thanks Mom it was just enough.
So true of a woman, I have the utmost respect.
I’ll love you for eternity and forever be in your debt.
No way can I ever think to repay you, for your love I cannot buy.
I just hope you enjoy the digital camera that I bought you from Best Buy.
Thanks for always showing me to do things the right way.
And now let me finish by saying Mom, ‘Happy Birthday!’
