The Downfall

You wanted to go back and start all over

A much different ending to your closure

To see things in a different way then how they turned out

The things you swore you’d never become began to sprout

In a perfect world you would have known this without a doubt

Reality was you were young, ignorant, and not much older

Drinking to numb the pain, hardly a day spent sober

Angry, thoughtless, and colder

Over and over in your head you recalled, I told her

“I’m sorry, let’s start over.”

To no effect your words were said

Your guilt was red and blood was shed

Veins were bled and left for dead

If only things could have been done again

Amends, you wouldn’t be six feet deep my friend

Patience Proclamation

Initially apply prudence

It's friendly but don’t show envy

To do so will feed their ego

Careful to whom your heart you show

Do not let them see you glow

Position yourself incognito

Take it slow, let it flow

Never bestow your soul, to one you hardly know

Be enduring and give it time to grow

Exist serene and stay low

When you have first met, you need to get your feet wet

Let things ensue naturally and do not fret

Allow whoever admires the maturity, purity and forever be in debt

Patience is a virtue and you’re a secret best kept

Keep your vision towards the goal

Let it be known your value runs higher than gold

That your passion for them runs hotter than coal

There is fruition to taking it slow

You end high but have to start low

At last a majesty, a union of company

You and the one to be, everlasting

An undying breed, eternally

A feeling of unease, obsolete

Instead serenity, only peace

An opportunity seized, in debt to thee

And now, I award you all of me

Choose love rather than hate
Don’t destroy instead create

Never quit, persevere
Let go of fear, to strength adhere

Praise fellow peers
Ignore gossip to your ears

Start healing, stop wounding
A feeling so soothing

End cursing, start praying
Build a righteous life before you’re decaying

In all things rejoice, you have a choice!

Evolution

Love, an evolution.

Revolt, the revolution.

Hate, it's pollution.

Violence, it's contusion.

A problem, a solution.

Peace, the intrusion.

Forgiveness, the right fusion.

Happiness, the conclusion.

Prayer

For I shall past through but once
Let me not be consumed by needs and wants

Rather instill a will strong in me to serve and love
As did your son

That it soon becomes abundant
Others see it, follow suit and run

I let you in my heart to come
It’s my desire so let it be done

Overcome my soul, joyful and cured
Once again pure

Your presence in me fulfilled
So powerful the forces of darkness killed

And with not a want for man’s glory or mere reward

Seasons

And so I fell, please forgive me for the fall

Like wind to the leaves, I began to blow it all

Resembling winter, I became much colder

In need of warmth, I closed your heart like a folder

Then along came spring, a signaling of new things

The time for regrowth, to repair broken wings

Hot summer and passionate, the first moment we intermingled

Hopeful to find you single, a burning soul was longing to rekindle

Cried and tried and even swallowed my pride

For the closest friend, offering my shoulders to lend

On a knee I went to bend, promising every need to attend

So went the time and seasons renewed, they always do

A love so strong and true, it kind of does too

This undeniable truth
